But you must first join the SMNA. See above. Q: What is a mailing list?A: A mailing list is a central point of contact. An e-mail sent to the “list” is broadcasted to ALL subscribed members, where topics can vary and discussions can occur in an informal setting. Subscribed members, otherwise referred to as “Listers” are e-mail users from disparate locations and/or computer systems with a common interest. Q: Are there any “rules” in a mailing list, and what are those character based “smiley faces” I have seen on e-mails?A: Yes!, and emoticons >=). Over the years, the internet has spawned many new protocols of human interaction, which include a collection of icons (emoticons) used for describing facial expressions or emotions when composing e-mails. Monthly meetings are scheduled for the second Thursday of the month. Location of meetings varies, so please check our calendar regularly. Q: Do I need any special tools to see or access video or exhibits at the SMNA web site?A: Yes. The video clips are in the RealNetworks™ format and the exhibits are in Adobe Acrobat format. Members may use the SMNA mailing list to advertise Garage Sales; The to be used is Alliance @ smneighbor.org. This will distribute the message to all members.; please note that you must be a subscribed member of the email list or your message will be automatically discarded. We only ask that members send only ONE email per garage sale. |
